9 steps to ADVERTISE your website!


Let’s say that you have done a website but still only your friends and family know about it… sad, after all the effort you put into. Don’t worry you still have a solutions: ONLINE TOOLS.
This post will tell you some tools that will improve the traffic of your website, so keep reading…


1. Have more presence on search engines like Google and Yahoo, the goal of this is that the user sees your website before the competitor’s.
  • Create a keyword list that best described your website.
  • Create Meta tags.
  • Tell other sites to link you and link your website to other sites.

2. Enter to the blogsphere that way users can comment about your product, service or company.

3. Use podcasts as a cheap way of advertise your product.

4. Use classified ads: Yahoo (Advertising central), Google (AdWords), Facebook (Facebook Adverts) etc…

5. Have banner ads in other sites.

6. Create profiles in Social Media: twitter, facebook, Tumblr, etc

7. Insert a RSS feed in your site so all the subscribed users can know every time you have done a change.

8. Pay per click programs (PPC) the program consists of creating ads and linking them with keywords; you pay only if the ad is seen.

9. SEO copywriting, which means writing an article that will contain all the keywords and informational phrases that will function as the content of your website.

  1. Hey! I like how your post reads as a how to manual, the links make your suggestions easy to employ too. I didn't know how to create a banner or podcast so I appreciate the knowledge you have shared. I might also suggest that bloggers remember how people read info on a blog or website. I have a video on my blog that I found useful because it shows where people look first or the most.

  3. I really like how engaging this post is... and it's pretty useful as well, because you've covered basically everything. Maybe you could've said a little more about each point, but if people want to know more they can just go off on the links you've provided. :)

    Also, you didn't mention anything about mobile marketing, which I think (and have researched) is a really quickly growing tool for online marketers. You've got a lot though anyway - very interesting! :)

  4. Ana I really liked this post and as Cori said the way you put it as a how to manual makes it easy for anyone to follow it and actually and most importantly understand it! But it would be good as well to mention how these different ways of advertising can encourage people to buy the products or services... Anyways your points are very interesting! ;)
